We are a husband and wife team, Brian and Melissa Makris. In July, 2015 we opened Relax Blacksburg to prove that the traditional massage business model simply does not work well for most massage therapists. We, quite simply, put people before profits. We hire talented therapists and classify them as employees. We pay them very well, provide health care, paid time off, continuing education, a matching 401(k) retirement plan and a strong focus on work/life balance. These values are very important to us.
