I am a massage therapist specializing in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Watsu®. The lymphatic system is vital to our health. When it is flowing freely, the lymph fluid cleanses, protects, and nourishes the whole body. An MLD treatment is a specialized massage which uses gentle, rhythmic movements to increase the flow of a sluggish lymph system. Watsu® is warm water bodywork. The freedom of being in water combined with stretches and massage to allow the body to move freely, taking pressure off nerves and joints, creating fluidity and ease. Both of these techniques deeply affect the nervous system, creating physical and emotional safety. When the body feels safe, it will naturally move toward optimal health.
